Dead end clamp (tension clamp) is made of aluminum alloy. Used for fastening and tensioning cables or conductors, especially in electrical transmission and distribution lines.
- Material: The body is made of aluminum alloy or ferrous materials
- Jaws: Must be made of insulating synthetic material
- Ferrous Parts: Must be hot-dip zinc plating according to IRAM 20022 (Annex D)
- Hook: May be made of flexible braided cable or bar, both of 6 mm
- Other requirements and tests: According to IRAM 2493
