Product description
Two core armored electrical cable (CU/XLPE/SWA/PVC), solid copper conductor, Produced by Riyadh Cables Company. according to IEC 60502-1(International Electrotechnical Commission) standard. Armored with layer of steel wires (SWA) to give it mechanical strength to protect it from external pressures that fall on the cable. Also insulated with XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) which provides a unique combination of strength, flexibility and reliability making them suitable for a diverse range of applications. It can withstand high temperatures up to 90°C for extended periods without compromising performance. The cable also withstands harsh environmental conditions, including moisture, corrosion and chemicals, making it ideal for outdoor use. It is also sheathed with a high-quality PVC (polyvinyl chloride) that provides additional protection against corrosion and mechanical damage. XLPE cable is commonly used extensively in power transmission and distribution systems in homes, buildings, offices and industrial applications. Available in different shapes, sizes and conductor ratings to meet diverse application requirements.

SWA Armored Cables: When to Choose This Type?
When searching for SWA Armored Cables, the primary purpose is to obtain higher mechanical protection for the cable compared to unarmored cables. The steel wire armoring (SWA) helps resist pressure and impacts during installation or when passing through areas prone to abrasion, making this type suitable for applications that require additional durability on-site.
Advantages of SWA Armored Cable (CU/XLPE/SWA/PVC) – Size 6 mm²
- Solid copper conductor with 2 cores for a stable and reliable connection.
- XLPE insulation and PVC outer sheath for increased reliability and protection in common project applications.
- Low voltage 600/1000 volts within the low voltage cable classification.
