Product description
2 core stranded copper electrical cable (CU/XLPE/SWA/PVC), produced by Riyadh Cables Company, Armored with layer of steel wires (SWA) to give it mechanical strength to protect it from external pressures that fall on the cable. Insulated with XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) which provides a unique combination of strength, flexibility and reliability making them suitable for a diverse range of applications. It can withstand high temperatures up to 90°C for extended periods without compromising performance. The cable also withstands harsh environmental conditions, including moisture, corrosion and chemicals, making it ideal for outdoor use. Chloride-free, making it environmentally friendly. It is also jacketed with a high-quality PVC (polyvinyl chloride) outer sheath that provides additional protection against corrosion, heat and moisture damage. XLPE cable is commonly used extensively in power transmission and distribution systems in homes, buildings, offices and industrial applications where there is a risk of mechanical damage. Available in different shapes, sizes and conductor ratings to meet diverse application requirements.

Quick Guide to Choosing SWA Armored Cables for Construction Uses in Saudi Arabia
When searching for SWA Armored Cables for building and infrastructure projects, the key feature of the SWA cable is its steel wire armoring, which provides higher mechanical protection when installed in areas exposed to pressure or impacts. This product from Riyadh Cables comes with a copper conductor, XLPE insulation, and a PVC sheath, rated for 600/1000 volts within the low voltage cable classification.
When is SWA Cable the Best Choice?
- When additional protection for the cable against mechanical influences is needed during and after installation.
- In installations that require higher durability compared to non-armored cables.
- For general applications of power transmission and distribution within the low voltage range of 600/1000 volts.

Brief Installation Tips for SWA Armored Cables
- Before purchasing, accurately determine the number of cores and the required size, and ensure they match the electrical load and installation method.
- During installation, avoid pulling the cable forcefully or bending it sharply to maintain the integrity of the insulation and sheath.
- Select the length of the roll to minimize joints as much as possible (this product is 1000 meters long) to reduce potential weak points.
Note: To ensure safety and compliance with project requirements in Saudi Arabia, it is advisable to carry out installation and finishing work by a qualified electrical technician/contractor.
