Insulated and sheathed with PVC compound (polyvinyl chloride), the first layer provides excellent electrical insulation. The outer jacket also provides protection for the cable from corrosion and external factors. These cables are suitable for operation at voltages up to and including 300 Vrms to earth and 500 Vrms between conductors.
