This Alfanar stranded copper wire (CU/PVC) is engineered for demanding internal electrical installations, delivering dependable performance in the UAE's diverse environments—from the humid coastal cities of Dubai and Sharjah to the high-temperature inland areas of Abu Dhabi. Manufactured to BS EN 50525-2-31, IEC 60227-3, and SASO-GSO-IEC 60227-3 standards, it ensures compliance with international safety and quality benchmarks.
The conductor is made of high-conductivity stranded copper with a cross-sectional area of 16 mm², comprising 7 wires of 1.78 mm diameter. Its maximum DC resistance at 20°C is 1.15 ohm/km, ensuring efficient power transmission with minimal losses. The insulation is heat-resistant PVC rated at 90°C, providing excellent protection against electric leakage, shocks, abrasion, UV radiation, water, and moisture—critical for the UAE's harsh climate.
This wire is ideal for fixed internal installations, including control boards, machinery, instruments with higher operating temperatures, lighting networks, and power systems. It is available in a standard 300-foot coil (100 yards) with other lengths on request, and comes in green for easy identification.
